2026 Spring Work Day

Two volunteers with a wheelbarrow and shovel beside a pile of gravel on the trail.

Thank you to all who volunteered!

Last weekend, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help with trail maintenance, park clean-up, and the installation of a new invasive species boot brush station. We were joined by students from SUNY Albany’s Delta Sigma Pi fraternity and Women Excelling in Business, along with volunteers from Siena University, board members, and community members.

A resourceful note: the reusable grocery bags you see on the trail were used to carry wood chips across the lake by boat, helping to restore the back trail area.

The groups also helped protect the ecosystem by removing invasive species, including Asian honeysuckle near the trailhead and the outdoor classroom area.

We appreciate everyone who helped make this work day a success, and for their commitment to caring for our park.
