On February 3rd, 2020, the Board of Directors at Little’s Lake unanimously voted to remove the annual and lifetime membership fees. Although the fees will no longer be collected, the board has instructed caretakers to still give out membership cards and to collect park use information at the sign-in kiosk.
President of the Board, Anthony DeBonis, during a review of the Park’s Bylaws asked the board to consider the change to help the park move forward in its strategic plan. The park is working towards increasing its technology presence, increase park membership, and making the park more handicap accessible.
Park Treasurer, Travis Brodbeck, said:
“Removing our membership fee does not make us a public park, but it makes it more accessible to the public – the distinction is very important. We still will be issuing membership cards and our caretakers will still be greeting all guests, new and returning, to best serve our visitors and to maintain a safe environment for everyone.”
Friends of the park, visitors, and guests are all welcome and encouraged to still contribute to the park on a voluntary basis. Tax-deductible receipts will be provided (via Email, via postal mail, or in-person) to all who provide a donation in currency, goods, or services.
